About Us
Our Story
You could say that real estate is in the Visentin family genes. We knew the business long before actually becoming realtors ourselves. One of our fondest memories is being huddled around our dad Nick in the basement in 1978 as he worked on designing what would become his first brokerage logo for Country Living Realty. His pride and excitement were palpable.
We were too young then to realize how much sweat and tears went into getting that business off the ground, but our Dad motivated and inspired us, and we delighted in going to the office with him on weekends. By 1982 all four kids knew how to answer the phones, book a showing and find paper-thin tear sheets for listing information.
Our father loved to move with the market, and we moved as it changed. It taught us a great deal about the experience of relocating and the importance of becoming part of a new
community. We have lived in Barrie, Rosemont, North York, Malton, Etobicoke, and The Beach and made each neighbourhood our home. This is probably why this business is so personal to us.
By 1987 the three Visentin brothers, Ido, David and Paulo, had become realtors. Bonnie, the youngest sibling, followed in their footsteps in 2011. The boys joined the family business, solidified as a team, and specialized in selling country properties, including land, farms and cottages. But their passion for the city was never wavered, and they always maintained a solid client base and roster of city properties.
Our patriarch is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement and we continue and grow the Visentin family legacy under the Real Estate Homeward umbrella. We are excited to be combining our experience and strengths to better serve our clients with both City and Country Living.
David's Story
As an experienced agent in the Mulmur, Dufferin and Simcoe real estate market, David has worked closely with his brother Paolo to help families and investors find unique parcels of land, farms, cottages, and dream homes since 1987. Not only is David a stellar agent with the Visentin Real Estate team, but you may have seen him on TV as co-host of Love It or List It on HGTV and the W Network. His role on the show is to show homeowners who are on the fence the benefits of listing their current house and moving into one more suited to their family’s needs.
David likes to say he was born with a ‘SOLD’ sign in his hand. He grew up around real estate spending his weekends at the family farm/real estate office learning the business, along with the rest of his siblings. His industry experience, personality and straightforward approach have made him a local and international success.
Bonnie's Story
Bonnie enjoys and values building strong relationships and will always go over and above to make the often daunting experience of buying or selling a home as seamless (and fun!) as possible.
Born and raised in Toronto, Bonnie and her three brothers were almost destined to follow their father into the family real estate business. Her education, industry experience, and past role as a Production Coordinator and Associate Producer on lifestyle television programs have also provided Bonnie with a unique set of skills and the knowledge to succeed in the highly competitive real estate environment.
Committed to further education that benefits her clients, Bonnie is an accredited Master
Certified Negotiation Expert® (MCNE) and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist®(SRES). She is active in the community, has spent years volunteering at her daughter’s school in reading programs, and volunteering as a coach with her daughter school swim team. She has also supported a local music school with its fundraising endeavors.
Bonnie and her partner are long-time residents of Toronto’s Upper Beaches neighbourhood, and their daughter has convinced them to add a puppy to the family. She swears by her weekly swimming and strength training sessions to keep her balanced and ready for any challenge that life and the GTA real estate market may have.

Repairs
For as long as Scott can remember, he has loved taking things apart and figuring out how to put them back together! As a child, it gave him such a sense of satisfaction; truth be told, it still does! After over twenty years of working at different construction, renovation, and property management levels, he now likes to think of himself as the fixer. As a jack of all ‘repair’ trades, there is very little he can’t build, light up, tone down, unplug, install or remove. And if there is…he can’t wait to meet it!
Karen
Marketing Consultant
Following her own career as a real estate broker, Karen has returned to the business in a freelance marketing communications capacity. Her experiences provide unique insight into what appeals to Buyers and Sellers in the GTA, and how to best position and showcase each property. Karen previously held marketing management and executive support roles in various industries and has the ability to tailor a message to any audience. She admits that copywriting and editing are lifelong compulsions.
